Fire destroys pub and four other shops at Nogora Junction

A late-evening fire on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, destroyed a popular pub and food joint at Nogora Junction near Ho Technical University, along with four other containers housing a boutique and several shops.

The blaze, which started around 5:20 p.m., sent thick plumes of smoke over the area, drawing residents and students to the scene.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was immediately called, and a crew from the Ho Municipal Fire Station, led by STNO II Michael Segbedzi, arrived shortly after to salvage the situation.

The fire spread quickly, prompting reinforcements from the GNFS Regional Headquarters. The coordinated efforts led to the fire being fully extinguished in two hours.

Despite the destruction, no casualties were reported.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
