Fire destroys 3-bedroom house at Koforidua Zongo

-

A fire outbreak in Koforidua Zongo has left portions of a three-bedroom house badly damaged, with several personal belongings reduced to ashes.

The incident occurred over the weekend and prompted a swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

According to officials, the distress call was quickly received and a crew led by ADO II Yenli was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a raging fire that had already consumed a chamber and hall apartment and was spreading into one of the three bedrooms in the main house.

Through rapid and coordinated efforts, the GNFS team managed to bring the situation under control, successfully containing the fire and preventing it from engulfing the entire house.

The blaze destroyed several household items, including furniture, electronics, and other personal effects within the affected areas.

While one room in the main house suffered partial damage, the remaining portions of the structure were salvaged.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were recorded.

Authorities have launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire.

Residents are being urged to remain vigilant and adhere to fire safety protocols, especially during the rainy season when electrical faults are more common.
