Fire Academy recruits complete orientation program

Newly enlisted personnel from Recruit Course 55 and Cadet Intake 24 have completed a two-week orientation programme at the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Tema Regional Headquarters.

The exercise, led by Regional Commander ACFO II Patrick Sallah, was designed to prepare the recruits for official duties.

The training covered ethics, crisis communication, and responsible use of social media—key components of modern emergency and security service delivery. Recruits also participated in practical firefighting drills to gain hands-on experience with essential equipment and operational procedures.

Addressing the recruits during the closing ceremony, ACFO II Sallah encouraged them to uphold the values of humility, discipline, and hard work, which he said were crucial for career advancement and national service.

Reverend Reginald Akuamoah, a life coach and minister from Winners Chapel, also spoke to the recruits on personal development. He warned them against harmful habits that could derail both their professional and personal lives.

A formal induction ceremony was held to welcome the new officers into lower management roles.

The event concluded with a charge for the recruits to serve their communities with integrity, protect lives and property, and stay committed to their core duties.
