The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has urged staff of the Circle Tax Service Centre to recommit themselves to discipline, integrity, and professionalism as Ghana intensifies efforts to meet its domestic revenue targets.
During a working visit, Dr. Forson said his purpose was to listen, encourage, and help chart a clear path toward improving revenue performance.
He noted that the national revenue targets set for the year are conservative and achievable with renewed commitment.
“What we need now is commitment, discipline, and integrity in the way we mobilise revenue,” he told the staff.

The Minister outlined three key priorities for strengthening revenue collection: reducing external interference, tightening compliance, and expanding the use of electronic systems to seal loopholes and enhance efficiency.
Dr. Forson reaffirmed his stance on performance-based accountability, stressing that he is committed to rewarding hardworking officers who deliver results while holding accountable anyone whose actions or inactions undermine the work of the tax offices or the broader national revenue effort.
“Ghana cannot afford anything less,” he emphasised, urging personnel to rise to the challenge as the country pushes for a stronger, fairer, and more sustainable revenue system.
