FIFA has officially announced that ticket applications for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will open on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Fans hoping to attend the tournament—set to be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States—must first register and create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets to be eligible for the ticket draw.
Following the success of the recent FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, demand for 2026 World Cup tickets is expected to hit record levels.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.”
FIFA noted that ticket sales will roll out in several phases, each with different purchasing options, payment methods, and ticket categories. Further details on each phase will be released monthly.
The tournament’s final draw will be held in December 2025 to determine the fixtures, venues, and kickoff times for all participating teams.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday, June 11, in Mexico City, with the final scheduled for Sunday, July 19, in the New York/New Jersey area.
