Fear and shock have gripped residents of Nsuta in the Sekyere Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region after two people were found dead in a phone repair shop.

The incident occurred at “No Fears Mobile Phone,” a repair shop where the bodies of the deceased were discovered on Monday, June 15, 2026.

The victims have been identified as Emmanuel Kwarteng, popularly known as “Puka,” the owner and a phone technician at the shop, and a female client, Julie, a hairdressing apprentice.

Information gathered by Adom News suggests the incident may have happened around 8:00pm during a prolonged power outage that was accompanied by heavy rainfall.

Residents said the two may have died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning after a generator was allegedly operated inside the enclosed shop during the blackout.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death.
