FC Samartex 1996 coach, Christopher Ennin, has voiced his frustration after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Karela United in their Matchday 2 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The game at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena saw Karela take the lead in the first half through Mohammed Zaidan, before Samuel Tetteh struck to restore parity for the home side.
Speaking after the match, Ennin criticised his players for straying from the tactical plan, which he believes led to the early setback.
“I am really disappointed with the results, especially conceding that early goal,” he said.
“That is usually our strength, to get the early goal ourselves. But tactical indiscipline is what resulted in us conceding,” Ennin added.
Despite levelling the score, Samartex were unable to capitalise and secure all three points, leaving their coach frustrated by what he felt was a missed opportunity.
The Timber Giants, still unbeaten this season, will now turn their focus to Matchday 3, where they face Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex this weekend in search of their first victory of the campaign.
