A farmer at Ajumako Chiebir in the Central Region, George Paintsil, is nursing deep machete wounds to his head following a violent confrontation over a farmland boundary dispute with his elder brother.
According to eyewitnesses, including Ex-Lance Corporal Daniel Mensah, the incident occurred on the farm where Paintsil was later found drenched in blood.
He was quickly rushed to the Ajumako Government Hospital for emergency treatment.
In an interview with Adom News, Paintsil recounted that the altercation began as an argument with his elder brother, Daniel Enyan, over ownership of a portion of farmland.
The disagreement escalated, resulting in a machete attack that left him seriously injured.
Ex-L/Cpl. Mensah has since appealed for calm and urged the family to seek peaceful mediation to resolve the dispute and restore harmony.
