
The one-week observance of the late former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker, has been scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The ceremony will take place at Asoredan, Dansoman, in the Greater Accra Region, starting at 7 a.m.
Mr. Coker reportedly passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
His death occurred at the Bank Hospital after a short illness.
Chairman Coker, as he was affectionately called, was admired by many for his outspoken views on national and political issues and was highly regarded by the NDC grassroots.
He served as NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman for three consecutive terms after first being elected in 2009.
He lost his re-election bid in 2022 to the current regional chairman and former Adentan MP, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore.
