Armed police officers on Sunday, September 7, 2025, stormed the residence of former Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Moses Abor, in what he described as a surprise and unsettling operation.
The incident, which occurred at about 2:17 p.m., involved about 16 security personnel who arrived in three Tundra vehicles and on motorbikes.
According to Mr Abor, the officers claimed they were acting on intelligence that he was harbouring Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, the NPP’s Bono Regional Chairman.

He explained that although he maintains a cordial relationship with Abronye, he has not seen him in over a year, making the raid unexpected.
In an interview with Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr Abor recounted that the team thoroughly searched his home, including his garden and adjoining property.
“They stormed my house in a Rambo-style operation, even insisting that a car parked in my compound belonged to Abronye, which I denied because it was mine,” he said.
Although no items were seized and no residents were physically harassed, Mr Abor said the raid left his family shaken.
“I and the children couldn’t sleep in the house yesterday. I am even considering getting someone to examine the house to ensure nothing was done or planted there. I am also yet to talk to my lawyer about the incident,” he added.
He expressed disappointment with the Ghana Police Service, noting that no official has reached out to apologise for the incident.
The police are yet to issue a formal statement on the raid.
