Former Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), Edwin Provencal, has been released after meeting his GH¢30 million bail condition, following more than two weeks in the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

Mr Provencal was arrested on Monday, November 10, at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) while attempting to board a flight to Maputo, Mozambique.

His detention drew widespread public attention, with supporters expressing concern over the length of his custody.

Speaking after his release on Tuesday, November 25, his lawyer, Charles Okyere, thanked those who had shown solidarity during the period.

“Finally, he has met the bail condition and has been allowed to go home. He is truly grateful for the support,” Mr Okyere said.
