Everton have entered the race to sign Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku this summer, as the Premier League club looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.

According to Sky Sports News, the Toffees are targeting the talented winger, who currently plays for Leicester City.

This pursuit comes after Everton’s unsuccessful attempts to secure Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, despite submitting several offers.

Issahaku, who has four years left on his Leicester contract, initially joined the Foxes from Sporting CP.

Everton had previously tried to sign the former Dreams FC and Steadfast FC forward before his move to Leicester, but the deal ultimately fell through.

The 22-year-old missed a significant part of last season due to a knee injury sustained during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola in November.

Despite this setback, Issahaku has featured in Leicester’s pre-season fixtures and is expected to play a key role as the Foxes aim for promotion from the English Championship this season.

However, his future at King Power Stadium remains uncertain.

Last season, Issahaku made a major impact in the Championship, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists in 40 appearances, demonstrating the creative spark Everton hope to add to their squad.
