Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Eric Bellinger has joined forces with Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage on the new single, “Understood (Remix).”
The track fuses R&B with Afrobeats rhythms, delivering a heartfelt anthem about love, communication, and vulnerability. Both artists showcase smooth vocals and soulful energy, creating a sound that bridges continents.
“I’ve admired Tiwa for years,” Bellinger shared. “We first crossed paths through my longtime friend and producer Harmony Samuels, who worked with her before I even launched my solo career. I always dreamed of collaborating, and over a decade later, it has finally come to life.”
“Understood (Remix)” is the lead single from Bellinger’s upcoming album It All Makes Sense, set for release on September 26, 2025. The project builds on his 2024 album It’ll All Make Sense Later, which featured the original version of the song. Recorded in Cape Town with African artists and producers, that album represented a “faith walk”—a journey of sonic experimentation rooted in authenticity and global connection.
For It All Makes Sense, Bellinger has actively involved fans in the creative process, previewing tracks through performance snippets and inviting listeners to vote on the next single. Their choice, “Vogue,” has become a highlight of his viral #OpenVerseChallenge, with aspiring artists contributing their own verses, some of which were showcased on Instagram.
Alongside the album, Bellinger recently launched his independent distribution company, All Wins Entertainment. Reflecting on this milestone, he said, “It’s been years of hard work to get here, and we’re still just beginning. Artist development has been missing from the industry, and I’m committed to bringing that back. We want to create the kind of foundation that built this business in the first place.”
As part of the rollout, Bellinger will travel to Nigeria and Ghana this October for a media tour, highlighting his collaboration with Tiwa Savage and promoting his forthcoming album.
