The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced the successful completion of a major infrastructure upgrade by ENI, increasing Ghana’s gas supply capacity from 245 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 270 MMscfd.

In a statement, the Ministry described the upgrade as a significant milestone in Ghana’s ongoing efforts to ensure a reliable and sustainable energy supply.

“The increased capacity will support the power sector and contribute to the overall economic growth of Ghana,” the statement said.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to ENI and all stakeholders in the power sector for their dedicated efforts in facilitating the critical upgrade.

“We also thank the people of the Republic of Ghana for their cooperation and understanding during the project’s implementation. Your support is invaluable as we work together to build a brighter energy future,” the Ministry noted.

The Energy Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to delivering consistent and stable power supply to all Ghanaians as part of the country’s broader transition towards green and efficient energy solutions.
