Presidential staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has revealed that the Ministry of Energy is set to roll out a nationwide streetlighting project to improve safety and support Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Nana Yaa Jantuah addressed the absence of streetlights on major roads in Accra, stating that the ministry is working diligently to install streetlights across the country.
“From where I sit, I know the Ministry of Energy is going to roll out streetlighting all over the country because the 24-hour economy impinges largely on lighted areas,” she stated.
She also raised concerns about the streetlight levy, calling for clarity on its usage to ensure it supports the initiative effectively.
“The streetlight levy also needs to be located for effective use,” she added.
