Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished guests, sponsors, and partners who made AOW: Energy 2025 a landmark event for Africa’s energy sector.

With over 1,200 delegates gathered in Accra, the Minister thanked the Presidency of Ghana, fellow Ministers, dignitaries from across Africa and beyond, as well as corporate partners and sponsors whose support ensured the event’s success.

He highlighted the contributions of leading industry partners, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, ENI, Seplat, FIRST E&P, Oando, and TGS, commending their commitment to Africa’s upstream sector.

“This event is here to stay. AOW: Energy is not just a conference—it is a platform where deals are done, where the region converges, and where Africa celebrates its industry with pride,” Mr. Jinapor stated. He noted that, together with Sankofa Events, Ghana is proud to host a gathering that reflects unity, purpose, and shared ambition.

The Minister emphasized that AOW: Energy has positioned Ghana as a hub for dialogue, investment, and regional collaboration, ensuring Africa leads in shaping its own resource development agenda. He added that the platform belongs to the continent and should serve as a catalyst for growth, energy security, and prosperity.

Mr. Jinapor also celebrated GNPC Ghana’s 40th Anniversary, describing it as a milestone of national achievement and a testament to what African institutions can accomplish with vision and determination.

“What we have witnessed here in Accra is the beginning of something much bigger. The partnerships we build, the investments we attract, and the unity we forge at AOW: Energy will shape Africa’s energy future. I thank all our partners, sponsors, and guests for making this possible, and I look forward to growing this platform together for many years to come,” he said.

As AOW: Energy 2025 continues, it is proving to be a defining platform for Africa’s upstream development, uniting governments, investors, and industry leaders to ensure the continent’s natural resources deliver maximum value for its people.
