The Deputy Chief Executive of the Minerals Commission, Ellembelle KK, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for responding to public concerns by expanding recruitment into the security services.
Speaking on Accra-based UTV, he praised the President for what he described as a rare act of leadership in listening to citizens.
“I will congratulate John Dramani Mahama over this security recruitment process. For the first time, we have a president who does not play deaf to the pleas of the citizens,” he said.
Ellembelle KK explained that the decision comes after widespread concerns from applicants who were disqualified during the ongoing recruitment exercise. In response, the President has increased the recruitment intake to 40,000, creating more opportunities for qualified applicants to join the security services.
He emphasised that the move demonstrates the government’s willingness to listen and act on the concerns of Ghanaians, urging that such responsiveness should be acknowledged.
