Electoral Commission postpones District Assembly and Unit Committee By-Elections

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the postponement of the District Assembly and Unit Committee by-elections originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

In a press release dated November 3, 2025, the Commission informed the public that the elections have been put on hold until further notice. No specific reason was provided for the postponement, but the EC assured that new dates will be communicated in due course.

The notice, signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Department, thanked citizens for their understanding and urged them to remain calm as the Commission prepares to announce updated timelines for the by-elections.
