The newly installed Egyudre and President of the Adele Traditional Council, Nana Asete Owusu III, has pledged to work closely with local chiefs to ensure peaceful coexistence in the community.

Speaking during his inaugural installation at Tutukpene, Nana Asete Owusu III emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among traditional leaders to foster development and harmony within the municipality.

He called on chiefs to put aside differences and work together toward progress and prosperity for all.

The paramount chief also urged the people of Adele to support their traditional leaders, embrace dialogue, and resolve conflicts peacefully.

He expressed his dedication to promoting a culture of understanding and cooperation, noting that recent clashes among the Adele, Akyode, and Challa ethnic groups have hindered development in the area.

“What was once a home is now filled with heartache. The busy streets are quiet, and properties have been destroyed—a sign of despair,” Nana Owusu said. He encouraged residents to stay united, welcoming peace as development projects, set to create jobs, are ready to begin.

Meanwhile, Kontihene of the Adele Traditional Council, Nana Anasah Gyenbura, led the oath of allegiance to the paramount chief, pledging support to ensure progress.

He expressed optimism that the new leader would bring peace and stability to the community after a long period of anticipation.
