The Egyam Children’s Home has received a brand-new Toyota HiAce minibus, courtesy of the Dutch Foundation Stichting Weeshuis Egyam Ghana, to support its daily operations and transportation needs.
Daniel Payne, representing the foundation, presented the vehicle to the Home on behalf of donors in the Netherlands and Germany.
The donation comes as a major relief, following the loss of the Home’s previous bus in a road accident two years ago.
“This minibus will go a long way in assisting the Home with transportation for school, medical care, and other essential activities,” Mr. Payne said during the presentation.
The Director in charge of the Home expressed deep gratitude to the Dutch Foundation and all individuals and groups in both the Netherlands and Germany who contributed to making the donation possible.
“On behalf of the children, management, and staff, I wish to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude. May Almighty God bless you and shine His face upon you,” she added.
The gesture is expected to significantly improve the mobility and welfare of the children at the Home, which continues to rely on the generosity of donors to meet its operational needs.
