The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering young people through entrepreneurship, skills development, and broader economic inclusion.
Speaking at the King of England’s Birthday celebration on Tuesday, November 25, at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Accra, the Minister emphasised the government’s renewed focus on youth-focused initiatives.
She highlighted the Edwumawura Programme as a central pillar of this agenda, noting that it supports 10,000 young entrepreneurs annually through training, startup funding, and mentorship.
“In keeping with this year’s theme of celebrating the youth, the Government of Ghana reaffirms its strong commitment to empowering young people. Through the Edwumawura Programme, we are equipping a new generation of business owners to lead our economy,” she said.
