The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Tema Region, has announced that the power outage currently affecting several communities within its operational area is due to faults on its network.
In a notice issued on Thursday, June 4, 2026, ECG said the affected areas include Buade, GCB Training School, Iron Bar, Kokobribri, Royal Ravico, Watch Tower, Junction Mall, Alton Hotel, Queensland International School, Ashaiman New Town, Booster Station, Christian Village, Clementina, Ashasec, Ashaiman District Circuit, Obonu FM, Casino, Comm 1 Market, Maame Sekune, Site 2, Sethi Realty, Abodakpi Farms, Ghana Steel, Kpone Kokompe, and surrounding communities.
According to the power distributor, engineers are currently working to identify and rectify the fault to restore electricity supply to the affected areas as soon as possible.
ECG assured customers that every effort is being made to resolve the situation and restore normal service.
The company also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and appealed to customers for patience while repair works continue.
