Driver crashes into Akufo-Addo’s Nima residence wall [Photos]

A Sprinter bus has crashed into the wall of the Nima residence of former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the vehicle—registered GR-5987-10 and carrying passengers—was heading toward Kasoa when he reportedly lost control at the Nima Junction after allegedly failing to brake in time. The bus slammed directly into the wall of the property.

The impact caused significant damage and drew immediate attention from security personnel stationed at the residence.

The minibus has since been impounded at the Nima Police Station.

While eyewitnesses claim the driver was arrested at the scene, police are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

It is also unclear whether there were any injuries or casualties as investigations continue.
