Nigerian superstar Davido’s lavish $3.7 million wedding grabbed global attention, but in Ghana, dancehall star Stonebwoy became the centre of online chatter following his attendance.
In the days after the ceremony, some social media users alleged that Stonebwoy stooped to pick up sprayed cash during the celebration.
While Stonebwoy has remained silent, his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla, has stepped in to set the record straight.
She explained that her husband only bent down to retrieve a fallen diamond bracelet, not to scramble for cash.
“It’s so crazy how some people think. You can clearly see his diamond bracelet fall off and he bends to pick it up, but because of evil and mischief you choose to believe he picked $1??? Some people’s mindset really explains a lot about who they really are… smh,” she posted.
Videos from alternative angles corroborated her account, showing Stonebwoy bending to pick up the bracelet. The footage also confirmed that he never touched any cash, as an attendee picked up the bracelet and returned it to him.
