The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South Constituency, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, recently paid a working visit to Asafo to inspect the ongoing construction of a culvert project aimed at permanently addressing the community’s long-standing flooding challenges.
For years, residents of Asafo have endured severe flooding during heavy rains, which has damaged homes and farmlands while disrupting daily activities. Repeated appeals for intervention had gone unanswered, making the project a much-anticipated solution.
In response, Dr. Agyemang initiated the culvert construction as part of his broader agenda to enhance local infrastructure and improve the community’s resilience to climate-related challenges.
Once completed, the project is expected to ensure smooth water flow and protect the community from future flooding incidents.
During the inspection, Dr. Agyemang reaffirmed his commitment to providing practical and lasting solutions for his constituents. He emphasized that infrastructure development is a key pillar of his vision for sustainable growth within Abuakwa South.
Residents, impressed with the progress, praised Dr. Agyemang for his proactive leadership.
“Great leadership in action! Dr. Kingsley Agyemang continues to demonstrate genuine commitment to the welfare of his people. Infrastructure like this makes a real difference,” one resident said.
Another added, “Impactful MP, be blessed.”
The culvert project is part of several community-focused development initiatives spearheaded by Dr. Agyemang, aimed at improving living conditions, boosting local productivity, and strengthening flood control mechanisms across the constituency.
