Doctors say you’re 20 years younger, but take it easy – Mahama tells Veep

President John Mahama has encouraged Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to take it easy as she resumes her official duties following her medical leave.
Speaking at a brief welcome event in Accra on Thursday, 22 May, President Mahama acknowledged the significant improvement in Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s health but advised her not to rush her recovery.
“The doctors say you are 20 years younger. That is what the professor told me—that you are okay and fit for the job. We will ask that you take it easy for a little while, and after that, we will see how things go,” he said.
The Vice President returned on Thursday from an extended medical leave in the United Kingdom. Originally, the government had announced a three-week medical leave, but on medical advice, she travelled abroad for further treatment as a precaution to ensure a full recovery.
