DISTRICT ELECTIONS

The Electoral Commission says all is set for the district assembly and unit committee elections scheduled for Today, December 17, 2019.

The District Level Elections is expected to take place across all 16 regions except for three electoral areas, Nkoranza North and South in the Bono East Region and Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Tuesday, Mr Mike Boadu, Director of Training at the Electoral Commission stated voting materials have been moved to the various polling stations across Ghana.

“The voting is expected to begin at 7 am and will end at 5 pm but voting will not take place in areas where candidates are unopposed and these people will be pronounced elected at the end of polls,” he said.

Meanwhile, he urged voters to comply with all directives they will be given at the polling stations.

Also, persons with disabilities are expected not to join the long queues but must be allowed to vote when they arrive at the various centers.
