Newly appointed Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has shed light on his decision to take charge of the Ghanaian football giants ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The former Black Stars assistant coach signed a two-year deal with the Phobians, succeeding Ivorian tactician Aboubakar Ouattara, who left the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking in an interview after his appointment, Dramani said professionalism was central to his decision to join the club.
“I’m a professional, devoid of my passion and soft touch,” he stated. “I like to see things done in the right way. I had a thorough discussion with the club as to why they wanted me, and I realised they were ready for a purposeful change.”
Dramani, who previously coached the Black Maidens and Asante Kotoko, is expected to lead a revival at Hearts of Oak following a disappointing, trophyless campaign last season.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 12.
