Nigerian music superstar Davido has earned the prestigious Silver Certification in the United Kingdom for his fourth studio album Timeless.
According to Chart Data, the milestone follows the album’s sale of over 100,000 units in the UK, qualifying it for a silver plaque.
Released on March 31, 2023, Timeless blends a variety of genres including Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, konto, highlife, and Afropop. The 17-track project features collaborations with top artists such as Asake, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Fave, The Cavemen, and Angelique Kidjo.
The album recorded massive success across streaming platforms, breaking multiple records on Spotify Nigeria, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube.
It earned Davido a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album, while standout tracks like Unavailable and Feel were nominated for Best African Song Performance and Best Global Song Performance, respectively.
Unavailable also achieved Silver status in the UK.
To promote the album, Davido embarked on the Timeless Tour, performing across North America and Europe, with major stops in cities including Washington D.C., Toronto, New York, and London.
