The Principal of Dadiesoaba Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Ahafo Region, Marcelina Kwose Teni, has appealed to the government to upgrade the school’s facilities to improve academic performance.
Speaking to Adom News during the school’s 10th anniversary celebration, themed “A Decade of Excellence: Empowering Healthcare, Transforming Communities,” she disclosed that many classrooms have been converted into hostels after a fire destroyed the female hostel years ago.
According to her, the facility has yet to be rebuilt, resulting in serious congestion. She also revealed that the dining hall has been turned into classrooms, forcing students to stand while eating — a situation she described as unacceptable.

The Principal further noted the urgent need for a modern administration block to accommodate the school’s growing demands.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda, assured the school management of plans for improved and modernised infrastructure.
He pledged to leverage his position in government to advocate for the facilities needed to support effective teaching and learning.
