The College of Nursing and Midwifery at Dadiesoaba in the Ahafo Region has provided free health screening for over 200 residents as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations.

Rebecca Owusu, a lecturer at the college, told AdomNews that the exercise uncovered a concerning number of residents living with hypertension, diabetes, and sciatica—conditions many were previously unaware of.

She noted that the screening was supported by a medical team from the United States, led by former Ahafo Regional Minister George Boakye. All residents diagnosed with health conditions received free medication as part of the initiative.

Beneficiaries Mary Adjei, Akua Amankwah, and Adu Kofi Collins expressed their gratitude, saying the exercise helped them understand their health status, access free treatment, and receive important guidance on maintaining healthy lifestyles.

They commended the college and the former regional minister for extending essential healthcare services to the community.
