The children of late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, have dismissed social media reports claiming a rift between them and their mother, Mrs. Akosua Serwah Fosuh.
In a statement issued in Accra on January 20, 2026, the family described the claims as false, malicious, and deeply offensive, stressing that there is no conflict within the family.
They expressed particular concern over suggestions that their mother could face arrest for speaking or acting on their behalf, emphasizing that their relationship with her remains strong, loving, and united.
The children also condemned what they called reckless accusations against individuals who have supported the family during this difficult period, rejecting claims that such gestures were driven by hidden agendas.
According to the statement, their loyalty to their mother is unwavering, and any reports to the contrary are deliberate falsehoods aimed at creating division.
They urged the public to disregard and stop spreading misinformation, noting that such narratives are not only hurtful to the family but also disrespectful to Daddy Lumba’s enduring legacy in Ghana’s music and cultural heritage.
