The manager of late highlife legend Daddy Lumba has described him as more than just a musician, calling him “an institution” whose influence cut across music, culture, and politics.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Roman Fada said the iconic artiste had a unique ability to unite people from all walks of life, including political rivals.
“It’s no doubt he can be called the greatest of all time Ghanaian musician. He was loved by everyone—even politicians from both the NDC and NPP. He once brought together former Presidents Rawlings and Kufuor under one roof. That’s how powerful his music and presence were,” Roman said.
He added that watching Daddy Lumba in his element was a “beautiful experience,” stressing that his legacy will remain unmatched.
Daddy Lumba passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra. He was 60.
