ociety Organizations (CSOs) in Kenyasi, located in the Ahafo Region, have urged the transfer of police officers who have overstayed in the community to improve law enforcement effectiveness.
In an interview with Adom News, Frank Kofi Adusei, Chairman of the Omanbotantim Association, highlighted that some police officers have been stationed in the area for over ten years. Their prolonged presence has led to a familiarity with residents, which, according to Adusei, hampers their ability to tackle criminal activities.
He pointed out that Kenyasi has become a hotspot for various forms of crime, including drug peddling, theft, and reckless motor riding, causing fear and panic among the local population.

Adusei emphasized that the rising lawlessness in the area can be attributed to the fact that many police officers have overstayed their tenure and must be transferred immediately to combat these issues effectively.
He called on local chiefs and community leaders to support this initiative and advocate for the transfer of these officers to help restore safety and security in Kenyasi.
