Crew escape unhurt in another helicopter emergency landing in Adansi

Another helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at Mensonso, near Obuasi in the Adansi District of the Ashanti Region.

The Member of Parliament for Adansi Akrofuom, Joseph Azumah, confirmed the incident during an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo is Tasty.

Mr. Azumah said the event likely occurred around 11 a.m., explaining that he missed several calls from his constituency’s Women’s Organiser about the situation.

According to the MP, the aircraft was travelling from Accra to Chiraa in the Sunyani West District of the Bono Region. The pilot diverted due to poor weather conditions, as continuing the trip would have posed serious risks.

The emergency landing took place near Adansi Brofoyedur, the same area where eight people recently lost their lives in a helicopter crash.

With soldiers still stationed at the earlier crash site, Mr. Azumah said they quickly moved to Mensonso to assess the situation.

While the exact number of people on board remains unconfirmed, preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties.
