Monitoring and Evaluation Director of the National Sports Authority, Kwame Baah has labelled the confirmation of the Director General of the Authority as disrespectful to the workers since their petition against him was not addressed.
Workers of the Authority, earlier this year, petitioned the Board Chairman of the Authority, Kwadjoe Baah Agyeman over issues of arrogance disrespect for the people he works with and wanted him investigated but the board failed to give than em audience.
In an interview with Mr Baah on Asempa FM, he said he was surprised the Board of the Authority did not consult the Sports Minister prior to confirming Mr Majeed Bawa.
“I am disappointed the Board of the Authority did not address our petition before going ahead to confirm Majeed Bawa. We had a problem with him and I think it is right for us to be heard since we are the people he is going to work with”, he fumed.
“I am surprised the Sports Minister was also not consulted before the confirmation. It only shows there is something fishy and we want an explanation”.
Speaking on the way forward, Kwame Baah denied coaxing members to sign the petition and will therefore further petition the sports minister then the Chief of Staff if their initial petition was not addressed.
