CLOGSAG threatens nationwide strike

-

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has announced plans to embark on a nationwide strike in two-weeks over the delayed implementation of a new salary structure and other conditions of service.

The announcement follows an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

In a statement, CLOGSAG expressed frustration over what it described as prolonged delays and government inaction, despite multiple correspondences and signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

The Association cited two key letters dated December 20, 2024, and May 6, 2025, as formal reminders sent to government authorities regarding the issue.

The union has given the government until June 30, 2025, to act on their demands.

“Failure to initiate implementation, the Association would have no other option than to embark on a nationwide strike,” the statement warned
