With respect to the customs of the people in Winneba, during the Aboakyir festival, two different clans are arrayed into the forest to capture a live deer in the name of the festival, each team that wins attains the benedictions directly from the king.
This year, the Dentifo clan in a red colors refused to accept the present king Nana Neenyi Ghartey as the original heir to the throne hence, the reason they refused to battle the white Tuafo clan battle for the capturing of the live deer.
Nevertheless, the Tuafo clan regardless the effort of the red Dentifo team to fuel their
battle went into the forest and captured the live deer.
The two clans, irrespective of their colors supported the King when he was majestically carried on his palanquin to perambulate through the Winneba town in the name of their rich culture, to arrive at his palace.
Meanwhile, the police are doing good work by ensuring there would not be a possible clash between the two clans.
