
The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several high-profile government officials and military personnel on August 6, 2025.
In a statement issued on August 7, CIMG extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the President of the Republic, the Government, and the Ghana Armed Forces, acknowledging the profound grief the nation is experiencing.
Describing the deceased as “heroic servants of the nation,” the Institute noted that the victims were on a mission to combat illegal small-scale mining when the incident occurred. CIMG praised their dedication to national service, integrity, and environmental protection.
The Institute also commended the security and emergency response teams for their professionalism in handling the aftermath, and called on the media to demonstrate ethical conduct in covering the tragedy.
Reaffirming its commitment to supporting responsible governance and public policy, CIMG pledged to contribute to efforts that promote safety, sustainability, and national unity in honour of the departed.
