Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is close to finalising a high-profile transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah FC.
The move is expected to become one of KRC Genk’s most lucrative departures in recent years.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Belgian outfit from Norwegian club Sarpsborg in 2023, has emerged as a prime target for Al Qadsiah.
Negotiations between both parties have reached an advanced stage, with the deal expected to be wrapped up in the coming days.
Though the final transfer fee remains undisclosed, sources suggest Genk will make a significant profit—well above the €5.2 million they initially spent to secure his services.
Bonsu Baah, who is under contract with Genk until 2028, has become a key figure for the club, featuring in 90 matches across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
Reports also hint that the youngster could use the Saudi move as a stepping stone, potentially returning to Europe in the future to continue his development.
Earlier this year, Bonsu Baah made his debut for the Black Stars during the Unity Cup games held in London.
