Prophet Joshua Kofi Appiagyei has called on all Christians and Ghanaians to actively participate in the upcoming National Prayers and Thanksgiving Service, set to take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in all 16 regions and 261 districts across the country.
The nationwide event, initiated by President John Dramani Mahama, marks Ghana’s 65th anniversary as a Republic. It aims to unite citizens in spiritual reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to national unity and development.
Speaking ahead of the event, Prophet Appiagyei encouraged believers from all denominations to come out in their numbers and pray for the country.
He emphasized that in this period of economic recovery, political division, and global challenges, the role of the Church in national intercession is more critical than ever.
The call was made during a National Thanksgiving and Prayer Service held by the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), Dzodze Central, as a lead-up to the national event.
For his part, Rev. Daniel Okyere Philix, District Pastor of CACI Dzodze, explained that the church’s early observance forms part of its monthly “30 Days of Prayer” initiative, under the theme: “Arise and Build the Kingdom of God.”
He noted that the program is dedicated to interceding for the nation, the Church, and individual members.
The National Prayers and Thanksgiving Service is expected to bring together churches, leaders, and citizens in a moment of collective spiritual renewal and national reflection.
