The passing of Queen Mother Nana Adwoa Nipaa of Pusupusu, Akyem Asiakwa, marks a significant loss after 44 years of dedicated service to her community.
During the 40-day celebration at Akyem Asiakwa, local chiefs appealed to the Pusupusu royal family to ensure a peaceful transition by selecting a suitable successor.
The chiefs emphasized that prioritizing qualifications and suitability over other considerations is crucial to avoiding chieftaincy disputes and preserving stability in the community.
Kwame Benyin Peprah, secretary to the Pusupusu royal family and a member of the funeral planning committee, also urged the youth to remain patient and respectful during the final funeral rites.
He stressed that their cooperation is essential for maintaining peace while paying proper tribute to the late Queen Mother.
