Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the government’s Reset Agenda as part of efforts to drive national growth, strengthen institutions, and curb underperformance and corruption.
Speaking at the launch of the Boardroom Governance Summit, Mr. Debrah emphasized the need for a renewed focus on effective governance and leadership across all sectors.
“The John Mahama-led administration is committed to refreshing every sector of the country’s fabric to facilitate growth and profitability. Good governance is the cornerstone of trust and confidence, which attracts investment and drives institutional success,” he stated.
The summit, which seeks to bring together boards of directors from both public and private institutions, will focus on improving decision-making processes, oversight functions, and accountability structures within organizations.
Organizers described boardroom governance as the system of rules, practices, and processes that guide boards in making strategic, informed, and profitable decisions.
Government hopes the summit will inspire boards of public institutions to adopt global best practices and align with the broader national agenda for sustainable development.
Mr. Debrah encouraged all institutions to actively participate in the summit, noting that shared experiences and good practices could help transform Ghana’s governance landscape.
