Residents and businesses in parts of Tema will experience a scheduled power interruption today, Sunday, March 8, 2026, as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes maintenance works.
According to the power distributor, the four-hour exercise is aimed at improving the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the affected areas.
The outage is expected to occur between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., impacting communities including McKeon, Sky Quarries, Westrafo and surrounding areas.
In a notice issued on Thursday, March 5, ECG apologised to residents and businesses for the inconvenience, explaining that the maintenance work is necessary to strengthen the power network and prevent possible system failures.
The company also urged residents in the affected communities to make the necessary preparations ahead of the temporary power interruption.
