Champions League dream comes true – Mohammed Fuseini

Union Saint-Gilloise forward Mohammed Fuseini has described qualifying for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League as a dream realized.

After ending a 90-year wait by clinching the Belgian league title, Union secured automatic entry into Europe’s premier club competition.

“This is like one of my dreams come true,” Fuseini told Flashscore.

“Even though I’ve played in the Champions League before, it was just in the qualification stage. And me getting to play in the real Champions League— that means a lot to me.”

The 22-year-old striker is eagerly anticipating facing some of the biggest names in football.

“I’m looking forward to playing against big teams like Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, and other big clubs. It will be a great experience for me.”

Despite Union’s status as a smaller club relative to European powerhouses, Fuseini remains optimistic about their chances.

“I think we should be able to go past the group phase because we have a good squad and a good coach. I think everything is possible.”

Under the guidance of coach Sebastien Pocognoli, Fuseini has been influential this season, netting nine goals in 33 appearances as Union prepares for its Champions League debut on the big stage.
