Chairman Wontumi announces intention to contest NPP National Chairmanship position

-

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has officially declared his intention to contest for the National Chairmanship position of the party.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV, he elaborated that his decision was guided by a spiritual conviction, stating that he had “spoken to God” and received divine favor regarding his ambitions.

“I know service is a favor from God, and I have prayed to God to give me favor and let humans also favor me. I have begged God to help me fulfill this wish in 2028 so we can win power,” he said.

The astute politician added that his motivation is rooted in service to the party and the nation, not just to elevate his status.

Chairman Wontumi expressed confidence that under his leadership, the NPP will be well-positioned to reclaim political power in the 2028 general elections.

He, however, hinted that he would formally launch his campaign when the time is right.
