Firefighters battling a blaze at the Osu Castle Second Gate Estate near Mandela Park have been praised for salvaging cash from the affected property and returning it to the owner.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) National Headquarters and Ministries stations responded to the fire outbreak on Tuesday, September 22, and managed to bring it under control.
According to the GNFS, firefighters retrieved some cash from the property during the operation and handed it over to the owner.
The Service said the act demonstrated the professionalism and integrity expected of its personnel, who are tasked with protecting lives and property while maintaining honesty and dignity in the line of duty.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the property have not yet been established.
