CAF CC: Kwara United coach sends warning to Asante Kotoko ahead of second leg clash

Kwara United head coach, Sanni Tunde, has issued a strong warning to Asante Kotoko as the two sides prepare for the decisive second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie.

The Nigerian side fell 4-3 to the Ghanaian giants in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, despite a spirited fightback that saw Shola Abdulraheem score in the 85th minute to keep Kwara’s hopes alive.

Addressing the media after the game, Tunde expressed confidence that his team would overturn the deficit when they play in front of their home supporters.

“Our assumption is not what we met. They are a bit luckier today, that’s it. They are a bit luckier, but they are coming to meet us at home,” he said.

Kwara United will host Asante Kotoko in the return leg at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium on Sunday, September 28, with everything still to play for.
