Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has been handed a three-match suspension by the Football Association (FA) for violent conduct.

The 26-year-old received the sanction following Coventry City’s Championship clash with Norwich City on Monday, 26 January. Although he was not shown a red card during the match, a post-game review led the FA to charge him.

Thomas-Asante has accepted the charge and will serve the suspension, causing him to miss Coventry’s upcoming fixtures: an away trip to Queens Park Rangers and consecutive home games against Oxford United and Middlesbrough.

This season, the striker has featured in 20 matches across all competitions, contributing 10 goals and four assists.
