The Bono Regional Police Command has carried out a special security exercise dubbed “Operation Show of Force” in Sampa, the capital of the Jaman North District, to reassure residents of their safety and strengthen public confidence in police presence.
Led by the Deputy Regional Commander alongside the regional operations team, the exercise saw a large contingent of police personnel and vehicles parading through the principal streets of Sampa between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The move, according to the Police, forms part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace, protect lives and property, and demonstrate the readiness of the security services to respond swiftly to any threat in the area.
Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer for the Bono Regional Police Command, said the operation was designed to assure residents particularly traders and market women—of maximum protection.
“We want the public, especially market women, to go about their daily activities without fear. The Police are here to ensure their safety at all times,” he emphasized.
The Police Command further called on the public to cooperate with officers, share relevant security information, and remain calm as efforts continue to enhance safety in Sampa and its surrounding communities.
